LEGACY
LEGACY
One thing that often comes up in defining why creatives want to be a part of House of Phillips is legacy. Not the Subaru kind, that's a car that since 1989 now runs into its 7th generation. In this case, we're talking about the word itself.
Naturally, we turned to Fox News to see what Trump said on the matter.
Trump responded, “I think I’ve done more for the black community than any other president. And let’s take a pass on Abraham Lincoln, because he did good, although it’s always questionable, you know, in other words, the end result.” Not satisfied this was quite the example we were looking for, we kept searching.
Next, we turned to Caroline Dixon, in the New York Times. "One of my fears," she says, "is to have existed and not have a record of my existence. If only one person would keep me in their heart and mind, then I have succeeded as being someone worth remembering." This felt more right.
Next, we listened to our team; "It's what we leave behind," they said, "it’s meaningful/it’s change/ It's not just an ad/a sense of pride/it’s what makes our work relevant."
And that's what re-affirmed us as a team. This collective DNA instilled in us. It's not just a job. It's a creative way of seeing opportunity for change in everything we do, say, and feel.
